A meeting was held to develop scientific cooperation between University of Birjand and Herat Jami University in Afghanistan
In line with the goal of promoting the international scientific relations, a meeting was held between the members of the Board of Directors of University of Birjand and the leadership staff of Jami University of Herat, Afghanistan.
In this meeting, the President of University of Birjand, Dr. Ahmad Lamei, talked about the policies of the university in internationalization, and expressed willingness for the development of scientific relations with Herat Jami University. Afterwards, Dr. Hosseini Vashan, Vice Director of Education and Postgraduate Studies and Dr. Mousavi, Vice Director of Students Affairs pointed out the potentials and advantages of University of Birjand in the scopes of scientific cooperation with Jami University in various fields. In the following, Dr. Navidinia, Director of International Scientific Collaboration Office, first enumerated the advantages of University of Birjand for cooperation with Afghanistan, then emphasized the readiness of this office to operationalize the MoU signed. He also noted that this year, University of Birjand will grant scholarships to 20 qualified Afghan professors and elites at the doctoral level.
Dr. Ayubi, President of Herat Jami University, expressed appreciation for University of Birjand due to its contribution to holding the meeting. Dr. Ayubi introduced Herat Jami University as one of the top universities in Afghanistan and enumerated the privileges mutual cooperation with University Birjand holds for them. He also announced readiness of this university to operationalize the MoU signed.
