  •   Director of Supervision and Evaluation Office

The University Directorate of Supervision and Evaluation was established to ensure the quality and effectiveness of academic programs and institutional performance in Iranian universities. Initially formed in the late 1980s as the Office of Academic Supervision and Evaluation, under the Vice President for Academic Affairs, it aimed to support national policies and foster collaboration between universities and the Ministry of Higher Education.

By 1998, a directive required each university to place this office directly under the university president. In 2007, its role was expanded to serve as the secretariat of the national Supervision and Evaluation Council within each institution. Finally, in 2010, following approval by the Ministry and regional university boards, the office was formally renamed the University Directorate of Supervision and Evaluation, reflecting its broader mandate and organizational importance.

Duties

  • Boosting efficiency across the university through regular review and quality assurance efforts.
  • Ensuring a consistent and unified approach to quality across all departments and activities.
