The Vice Presidency for Student Affairs is committed to enhancing student well-being by providing comprehensive welfare, residential, health, and recreational services that support students throughout their academic journey. By improving living conditions, promoting physical and mental health, and ensuring access to essential support services, this office plays a vital role in creating a dynamic, supportive, and student-centered university environment. It follows these goals:

  • Overseeing the proper implementation of the regulations, bylaws, and directives issued by the Student Welfare Fund and the university.
  • Monitoring the provision of welfare services, including disbursement of educational stipends, housing allowances, tuition support, housing deposits, and other benefits, strictly in accordance with the Student Welfare Fund’s bylaws and directives.
  • Supervising student accommodation and related services in university dormitories.
  • Overseeing food-related services, including procurement, preparation, cooking, and distribution of meals, as well as meal service for students in cafeterias and dormitories, and for faculty and staff.
  • Supervising the delivery of welfare services and extracurricular activities for students.
  • Creating enabling conditions for student participation in various institutional affairs.
  • Providing logistical and infrastructural support for organizing diverse conferences and events at the university level.
  • Planning, coordinating, and delivering sports and physical education services for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Designing and implementing motivational and incentive-based programs to promote and encourage participation in sports among students, faculty, and staff.
  • Providing counseling and student support services, and preventing behavioral deficiencies and psychological disorders among students through appropriate educational and supportive interventions.
  • Handling student disciplinary matters in compliance with relevant regulations and bylaws.
  • Addressing exceptional academic cases through the Special Cases Commission.
  • Developing plans to foster an optimal environment for the growth and realization of students’ talents and potentials.
  • Collecting data and statistical information on the current status of student affairs.
  • Preparing a clearly defined strategic plan to address weaknesses and leverage strengths in resolving existing challenges.
  • Securing necessary funding to expand and equip dormitories, dining facilities, physical education centers, and counseling units.
  • Facilitating interdepartmental coordination to achieve institutional goals and fulfill responsibilities in alignment with the university’s general policies.
