This office supports students who are either veterans themselves or closely related to individuals who have been impacted by war or military service. Specifically, the following individuals are eligible for services:

  • Veterans with a disability rating of 25% or more
  • Former prisoners of war
  • Spouses and children of:
    • Individuals who were martyred (lost their lives in war or military service)
    • Individuals missing in action
    • Former prisoners of war
    • Veterans with a disability rating of 25% or more
  • Veterans with a minimum of 15% disability and at least three months of voluntary front-line service
  • Individuals who served voluntarily on the front lines for at least six months

Roles:

The office is responsible for providing academic, cultural, and welfare support to the above-mentioned students. 
Ensuring the university follows all government regulations and policies regarding martyrs’ and veterans’ students.

  • Creating and suggesting programs to help these students succeed academically
  • Organizing meetings with representatives from national foundations for martyrs and veterans
  • Planning educational and cultural activities such as:
    • Camps
    • Religious or spiritual trips
    • Recreational activities
    • Seminars and extracurricular programs
  • Coordinating special courses and classes tailored to the needs of veterans and their families
  • Monitoring student performance in partnership with academic departments
  • Maintaining a detailed database on students' academic, research, cultural, and social progress
  • Recognizing and awarding outstanding veteran students
  • Providing welfare support, guidance, and counseling in cooperation with university and local authorities
  • Submitting annual reports to the university president and the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology
  • Planning budgets and attracting financial support from relevant organizations
  • Establishing and managing cultural and academic centers for veterans within the university
  • Managing the financial matters related to eligible students
  • Representing the office in meetings, seminars and conferences
  • Carrying out additional responsibilities as assigned by higher authorities
