Faculty of Engineering at University of Birjand
The Faculty of Engineering at University of Birjand was established in 1988 under the name Technical College and began its activities in 1989 by admitting students in the Associate Degree in Electronics program. Finally, in 2003, as part of the revision of University of Birjand’s comprehensive plan approved by the Office of Higher Education Affairs of the Management Organization, this college was renamed the Faculty of Engineering.
The Faculty of Engineering possesses significant capabilities in terms of equipment and the variety of workshops and laboratories, most of which are available for research projects in various fields such as industry, mining, and agriculture. The main goals of the Faculty of Engineering at University of Birjand include:
- Qualitative development of existing programs
- Establishment of other core engineering disciplines needed in the region, such as Chemical, Industrial, and Materials Engineering, at the graduate level
- Creation of applied research groups
These initiatives aim to strengthen the faculty’s educational and research contributions to the region.
