Department of Management and Economics
The Department of Management and Economics began its activities in 2020 after receiving official authorization to offer an undergraduate program in Public Administration. In addition to admitting students through the national entrance examination, the department also enrolls international students, including students from Afghanistan, who are currently studying in this program. Furthermore, as of October 2024, the department has obtained authorization to offer a master’s program in Entrepreneurship (Organizational Concentration) as well as an undergraduate program in Economics, and it is currently admitting students to both programs.
The field of Management is interdisciplinary in nature and, within the domain of the humanities, benefits from the capacities of related disciplines such as psychology, sociology, political science, and economics. As a result, graduates of this field acquire the necessary competencies to work across these areas. Graduates of management programs are qualified to work at all levels of public and private organizations and may be employed in fields such as financial affairs, administrative and clerical services, human resources, administrative reform, public relations, hospital management, banking, and other management-related areas.
Graduates of the Economics program are likewise employed across all economic and financial sectors of public and private organizations and companies. In addition, due to their familiarity with financial and economic fields, graduates of economics are able to generate income independently after graduation. At present, the Department of Management and Economics has six full-time assistant professors specializing in Organizational Behavior Management, Human Resource Management, and Economics.
