The Vice Presidency for Research, Technology and Innovation is responsible for leading, developing and overseeing the university’s research and innovation ecosystem. It formulates policies and strategic plans to enhance scientific output, expand national and international collaborations, and promote applied, demand-driven research aligned with national priorities. By supporting research projects, managing academic resources such as libraries and databases, fostering entrepreneurship and innovation, and evaluating research performance, this office plays a central role in advancing the university’s academic excellence and technological impact. Its goals include:
- Managing all research and technology affairs of the university.
- Planning for research and technology matters and supervising the university’s information portal and internet network.
- Conducting necessary studies for the evaluation of research activities and assessing the university’s annual research performance.
- Liaising with domestic and international institutions to foster cooperation in research affairs and exchange scientific services.
- Collaborating with the Office of the President, Public Relations, and the Scientific and International Cooperation group in providing scientific, cultural, and social services; organizing scientific seminars and conferences; and managing all research and service contracts between the university and other institutions.
- Supervising all university research affairs, libraries, and databases.
- Planning for faculty members to utilize domestic and international sabbatical leave opportunities in accordance with approved regulations.
