The brilliance of the University of Birjand student in the University International Sports Festival

According to the Public Relations and Information Office of the University of Birjand, Ms. Marzieh Sabzkar, an undergraduate student at the university, won a bronze medal in the judo competition at the University International Sports Festival in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Gold and bronze medals in judo were won by Russian students, and a joint bronze medal was achieved by a student from the Islamic Republic of Iran from the University of Birjand and a student from Cuba.
These world competitions are taking place from August 19th to September 9th, 2023, in Yekaterinburg, Russia, with the participation of students from 38 countries, including 10 universities from Iran.
Dr. Navidi Nia, the head of the university's international scientific collaborations department, noted that five students from the University of Birjand have been sent to Russian competitions in the fields of taekwondo, judo, table tennis, and swimming.
Additionally, Jiko Dana-ye Aftab Company has supported the university's athletes in these competitions.
