The scientific-research quarterly Journal of Geomine, published in English by the University of Birjand, has successfully been accepted for indexing in the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC).

The scientific-research quarterly Journal of Geomine, published in English by the University of Birjand, has successfully been accepted for indexing in the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC).

According to the University of Birjand Public Relations Office, Dr. Marzieh Saghebjoo, Vice-President for Research, Technology and Innovation, described the achievement as a valuable step toward the internationalization of the university’s scientific output and the elevation of its journals’ standing.

Congratulating Dr. Ahmad Aryafar, the journal’s Editor-in-Chief, and Dr. Mohammad Mosayebi, the Managing Director, Dr. Saghebjoo stated that inclusion in the ISC database reflects high standards of peer review, the credibility of published articles, and adherence to publication ethics. She noted that this success further strengthens the University of Birjand’s position within the domestic and international scientific community.

She added that *Journal of Geomine* is the result of years of dedicated work by the editorial team and researchers who have entrusted the journal with their best findings. With this milestone, the journal is now better positioned to attract higher-quality submissions and expand international collaborations.

*Journal of Geomine* is an English-language quarterly published by the Department of Mining Engineering at the University of Birjand. Its scope covers mineral exploration, mining operations, geomechanics, mineral processing, mine safety, and sustainable development.

The journal previously earned a “B” ranking from the Scientific Journals Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in 2025. Its acceptance into ISC marks an important advance on the path toward broader international recognition.

Dr. Saghebjoo concluded by reaffirming the full support of the Vice-Presidency for Research, Technology and Innovation for the development of the university’s journals and expressed hope that *Journal of Geomine* will soon be indexed in more prestigious global databases such as Web of Science and Scopus.
