University of Birjand Hosts Coordination Meeting for the Fourth International Lut Desert Tourism Conference

Birjand, Iran – The University of Birjand recently held a coordination meeting to plan the Fourth International Lut Desert Tourism Conference, as announced by the university’s Public Relations and Information Office. The meeting, chaired by Dr. Ahmad Khamesan, Acting President of the University of Birjand, and attended by Mr. Seyed Ahmad Barabadi, Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of South Khorasan Province, took place at the university’s presidential office.

During the session, both parties reviewed the logistics of organizing the conference, focusing on inviting participants, developing the event’s operational framework, and coordinating scientific and practical arrangements. The discussions emphasized fostering stronger bilateral cooperation and ensuring seamless execution of this international event.

The Fourth International Lut Desert Tourism Conference is scheduled for November 5–6, 2025, in South Khorasan Province, hosted by the University of Birjand and Nehbandan County. This event will provide a platform to showcase the tourism potential of the Lut Desert and promote national and regional interactions in the tourism sector.
