University of Birjand Signs Scientific Cooperation Agreement with Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University of Indonesia
Birjand, Iran — The University of Birjand has signed a scientific cooperation memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The agreement was signed by Dr. Ahmad Khamsan, Chancellor of the University of Birjand, and Prof. Noorhaidi, President of the Indonesian university.
According to the University of Birjand’s Public Relations and Information Office, the MoU aims to promote joint scientific and research collaborations between the two institutions.
Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University Yogyakarta is a public university in Indonesia with eight faculties covering diverse fields including humanities, basic sciences, engineering, social sciences, law, economics, philosophy, and Islamic studies.
Key Areas of Cooperation
Under the terms of the agreement, both universities will support:
- Joint research projects
- Co-organization of scientific conferences and seminars
- Exchange of faculty members and students
The memorandum is valid for five years and can be extended upon mutual agreement.
This new partnership brings the total number of international MoUs signed by the University of Birjand with universities worldwide to 50, further strengthening its global academic network and commitment to international scientific collaboration.
This agreement marks another important milestone in the University of Birjand’s internationalization efforts, opening new doors for academic exchange and joint research with leading institutions in Southeast Asia.
